cASE STUDIES

A few of our past projects are featured below. These examples, each detail what the customer asked for, what the project involved and what was the end result.

ST ALBANS

When first meeting with the client Matt, he wanted to add a loft conversion to his property. Matt’s property was the top floor on a shared freehold flat. This project required planning permission that our architect took care of and submitted all the relevant paperwork.

The loft space was 9 metres long, a huge space that we managed to fit in a large master bedroom complete with 3 top hung Velux windows, air conditioning, storage along the eaves, a large cupboard area, an en-suite and an office. We also laid laminate floor, created storage space under the new stairs, fully painted and decorated, and fitted carpet on the new and existing stairs.

This project took 7 weeks from start to finish. Another happy customer.

 What the client said;

“Kurtis was recommended to me from the neighbour to my old home across town on the other side of the city, and it was a spot on recommendation. I couldn’t have asked more of Kurtis and his extended team and as to the end transformation, well, just take a look below/attached. If you are after a loft conversion, I can not recommend Ridgeline Lofts highly enough.”

Woodford

For this fairly straight-forward loft conversion, we created a great sized master bedroom with a well designed en-suite.

We were able to fit the new stairs to the loft conversion in between the two existing walls below leaving the existing bedrooms untouched. Above the new stairwell we also created a small shelf area as a feature with a Velux window providing plenty of light.

In the master bedroom we fitted french doors with a stunning glass balcony. The exterior of the dormer was finished in a mottled red plain tile.

What the client said;

“A big thank you to Kurtis and all the team at Ridgeline Lofts. I’m so pleased with my Loft Conversion which has been completed to the highest of standards. The whole process was effortless and timely and you remained polite and professional throughout.

Thanks again, I would happily recommend you to my friends and family.”

Welwyn - Woodhall Lane

For this project the client supplied his own drawings that consisted of adding a Velux loft conversion to his 1930s home. Not only did we convert Zdenek’s loft but we also completed a beautiful full bathroom refurb on the first floor.

In order to utilise the loft space we removed a chimney which allowed the new stairs to take their place. The double winding staircase was carefully installed between two existing walls therefore flowing seamlessly with the rest of the property.

A pocket door system was fitted in the loft to the en-suite to enhance the space in the best possible way.

What the client said;

“Kurtis and his team just finished a loft conversion and first floor bathroom refurb in our 1930’s terraced house.
Kurtis made sure that the loft conversion naturally fits in and feels like its always been there with a lot of light and handy storage in the eaves.

Kurtis with his team were always on time, working hard throughout the day, but always finds time to answer any of your questions and keep you updated on progress and the next steps.”

Welwyn - Hunters Way

At Hunters Way we completely transformed Mel and Paul’s loft by creating a hip to gable loft conversion. Not only did we convert the hipped roof a gable end we also added a large flat roof dormer to the rear.

By removing the chimney to ground level we were able to fit the new staircase to the loft without sacrificing any existing space. When you reach the top of the stairs on your left is a stunning en-suite with a free-standing bath, large walk-in shower and fitted toilet and vanity units. Mel and Paul were unsure when choosing their bathroom suite and left it in our capable hands to design their perfect bathroom – it’s safe to say they loved it!

On your right at the top of the stairs, is a master bedroom complete with bespoke fitted wardrobes spanning front to back of the property. Air-conditioning was also installed in this loft.

The exterior was finished with an 02 brown plain tile with a winchester detail on the gable and a high performance 3 layer felt flat roof system.

What the client said…

“Kurtis and the team were fantastic right from the very beginning. From providing a comprehensive breakdown of the quote and timings of the work, to answering numerous questions from my wife and I any day or time of the week, to offering suggestions and working with us to provide us with exactly what we wanted, the team were amazing from day 1 right to the end. Great communication, great customer service and a desire to go the extra mile to give us the best finished product, I couldn’t recommend Kurtis and his team highly enough.”
