Will a loft conversion add value to my property?

Loft conversions are a great way to create a new unique space in a house. A loft conversion can add a significant amount of value to your property, in some cases up to 20% and sometimes even more! Which makes it one of the top investments for home owners to consider.

How can I generate natural light into my loft?

Velux windows provide plenty of natural light that will improve the appearance of any space. We recommend having a window at the front and back of a room. A window above the stairwell leading up to the loft is a fantastic way to brighten up any existing landing using natural light. A popular choice at the moment is a French doors with a Juliet balcony on the dormer.

Do I have enough head height for a loft conversion?

As a rule, we need 2.3m head height for a loft conversion to be possible. There are options to raise the height in certain cases but usually require planning permissions for this. For a standard loft, 2.3m is required to carry out the conversion in the most cost effective way.

Have a combi boiler/water tank in my loft, will it be in the way?

Having water tanks/boilers in your loft is not a problem, if it’s a boiler we can either move it to a more suitable place, or leave it where it is and create a cupboard around it. If you have a water tank, we can also easily relocate these, It can be relocated into the eaves of the loft quickly and safely by a plumber usually within one day.
